How to set up your ResaleOS online storefront
The ResaleOS storefront is a hosted, mobile-friendly web store at resaleos.co/s/your-store. It uses your existing inventory, your existing prices, and your existing Stripe — no separate Shopify subscription, no theme coding. Most stores go from zero to live in under an hour.
Open Settings → Sales channels → Storefront
Storefront sits alongside eBay, Etsy, and Shopify in the Sales channels list — but it's not a 3rd-party connection. It's your own hosted store, and it's free on every paid plan.
Customize: name, URL, logo, about, socials
Click Customize your storefront. The store name shows on every product page; the URL slug becomes part of your storefront link. Slugs are first-come, first-served — pick something short and memorable. Logo is optional but recommended; about + Instagram + Facebook show up in the footer.
Connect Stripe to accept payments
Storefront checkout uses Stripe. If you haven't connected it yet, follow How to connect Stripe — same connection that powers Stripe Terminal at POS and pay-by-link invoices. One Stripe account, three features.
Configure shipping & pickup options
Open Shipping & pickup options in Storefront settings. Toggle on the methods you offer: Local pickup (at any of your locations), Local delivery (within X miles of a location with a flat fee or per-mile rate), and Shipping (real-time USPS / UPS / FedEx rates calculated from item dimensions). Each method can be enabled per location.
Flip it on — share the link
The Enable store button publishes the storefront. Share resaleos.co/s/your-store on Instagram, in your email signature, on your business cards. The store is mobile-first, fast, and SEO-indexed automatically.
Curated mid-century furniture
Every piece inspected, photographed, delivered with care since 2018.
Everything that ships out of the box
Hosted storefront
Mobile-first product grid, search, filters, fast image delivery, SEO meta, social og:image. Hosted by us, no theme code to write.
Stripe checkout
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link. Tax calculated per ZIP. Discounts and store credit supported. Receipts auto-emailed.
Pickup & delivery
Local pickup, local delivery (per-location radius + fee), and real-time shipping rates. Each method per-location toggle.
Customer accounts
Customers can register to track orders. Pairs with the consignor portal so consignors who buy at your store can pay invoices and track their items.
SEO + sitemap
Every product gets a clean URL. Full sitemap auto-submitted to Google, Bing, and the major search engines. Open Graph + JSON-LD structured data baked in.
Analytics
Reports → Storefront shows visits, product views, conversion rate, top products. No extra tracking script needed.
The slug is part of the URL
Pick the slug carefully — products live at /s/your-slug/product/<id> and changing the slug breaks any external links pointing to old URLs. We can redirect old slugs on request, but better to lock it in early.
vs. Shopify, BigCommerce, Squarespace
vs. Shopify
Shopify is fantastic, but it's another monthly fee, a second product DB to keep in sync, and a separate checkout. The ResaleOS storefront uses your existing inventory and existing Stripe — zero double entry, zero added monthly cost.
vs. Squarespace + manual fulfillment
Squarespace doesn't know about consignor splits, doesn't talk to your POS, doesn't handle local pickup vs. shipping. Storefront sales here count toward the same reports as in-person and channel sales.
Where storefront connects
- Products — every Active product with a price shows on the storefront. Set products to Draft to hide them.
- Stripe integration — checkout payments land in your Stripe account.
- Locations— pickup & delivery options are per-location.
- Sales tax — calculated per ZIP using your registered nexus states ( tax setup guide).
- Reports → Storefront — visits, views, conversion, top products.
- Consignor portal — same domain, same login; consignors who buy from you see history + invoices.
Frequently asked
Can I use my own domain?
Yes — point a CNAME at our edge, we handle SSL automatically. Configure under Storefront settings → Domain. Most stores launch on the resaleos.co subdomain first and migrate when they have time.
Multi-location storefront?
Yes. Pickup options can be enabled per location, so customers picking pickup pick which location to grab from. Inventory shown is the union across mapped locations.
What carriers ship?
We integrate with USPS, UPS, FedEx, and 3PL services like Lugg / GoShare / uShip for big-and-bulky. Real-time rates calculated from item dimensions, weight, and ZIP.
What payment fees apply?
Stripe's standard online rate (currently 2.9% + 30¢ in the US). ResaleOS doesn't take a cut on top — your storefront sales count exactly the same as a POS sale in reports.
Cart abandonment emails?
Roadmap. Today, customer accounts plus the consignor portal get most stores 80% of the way there. Reach out if it's a blocker.
Can I disable the public side?
Yes — toggle the storefront off and the public pages return a holding page. The consignor portal still works because it lives on the same slug but a separate route.
What about discounts?
Storefront supports % and $ discount codes, plus auto-apply promotions (e.g. 10% off when 3+ items in cart). Configure under Storefront settings → Discounts.
Local pickup pricing?
Free local pickup is the default. You can also charge a handling / packaging fee per pickup location if you like.
Does it work for B2B?
Yes — wholesale price tiers, customer-only catalogs, and account-gated checkout are supported. Reach out if you need help configuring a wholesale flow.
