How to bulk edit products
Re-categorising a whole department, dropping every price by a tenner, tagging a new drop, switching a shelf of items to local pickup — none of that is a one-at-a-time job. The bulk editor opens your selection as a spreadsheet you can type straight into.
Filter to the items you want
Start in the Products table and narrow it down — search, category, brand, status, channel, consignor, whatever gets you to the right set. Editing in bulk is only safe when the selection is right, so get the filter right first.
Select, then choose Bulk edit
Tick the header checkbox to take everything the filter matched, or pick rows by hand. The bulk actions menu that appears has Bulk edit — it opens the grid with exactly that selection loaded.
Edit like a spreadsheet, then save
Type in a cell, or set one value and fill it down the column. Rows load as you scroll and saves go up in batches, so a big edit keeps working while you carry on. Nothing is written until you save.
What you can change in bulk
The listing itself
Product category, type, brand, title, description, tags, condition, status, SKU and photos — including moving a whole department from one category to another.
Money and payout
Price, cost, markdown rules, the buyer fee, and which consignor an item belongs to. Handy after a migration lands items on the wrong account.
Shipping and channels
Weight, height, width, depth, shipping package, and which sales channels each item publishes to — so you can switch a batch on or off a marketplace in one pass.
How much it will take at once
A hand-picked selection is capped at 1,000 items. Select everything a filter matched instead and the editor will take up to 50,000 rows. Edits that change a field the marketplaces care about re-publish to the channels each item is listed on, so a large price or category change will queue a lot of updates — expect them to land over the following minutes, not instantly.
Small batch? Just ask
For up to 50 items you can tell Daphne what to change — “set all my fine jewellery to imitation jewellery” — and approve the change when it shows you the field and the count. Past 50 items, the grid is the right tool.
