How to find what an item is worth

The pricing engine searches what comparable items actually sold for, across more than twenty marketplaces, and comes back with a suggested price plus the listings it based that on. You can run it from any product, or on its own before you even add the item.

1

Give the item a title

Open the product and type a title — the engine needs at least three characters to search on. Brand and category sharpen the results, so fill them in if you have them (or let Generate information pull them off your photos first).

2

Click Get pricing estimate

It sits next to the Price field in the product form. The scan takes a few seconds and reports a suggested price, a market range, and the comparable listings grouped by marketplace — each one clickable, so you can check the comps yourself rather than take our word for it.

3

Price it, then re-check whenever you want

Once you have set a price, the panel tells you where it sits: Below market, At market, or Above market. Changed the title, brand or category since the last scan? Click Check again to refresh the comps against the new details.

Under the hood

Where the numbers come from

Twenty-plus marketplaces

eBay sold listings, Poshmark, Mercari, Depop, Etsy, Grailed, Vinted, Whatnot, TheRealReal, ThredUp, Vestiaire, Chairish, 1stDibs, Reverb, StockX, GOAT, Back Market, Amazon, Walmart, Target and Facebook Marketplace.

Sold, not asking

Where a marketplace exposes completed sales — eBay most of all — we search those. An asking price nobody paid is not a comp.

Filtered for relevance

Results are scored for how well they actually match your item, so a different colourway or a bundle of ten does not drag the suggestion off.

Sourcing? Use it before you buy

The pricing engine also runs on its own page — type or photograph an item at an estate sale and see what it goes for before you pay for it. From a product page, Open in Pricing Engine carries the comps you already loaded across.

How many lookups you get

Every plan includes a monthly allowance of price lookups — 30 on Crosslister, 100 on Reseller, 200 on Pro. Run out mid-month and you can buy a usage pack rather than upgrade. Re-checking the same item counts as another lookup, so scan once you have the title and brand right.

Stop guessing at prices

Real comps on every item you list, and a suggested price you can take or leave.
