Introduction to Data Migration

0:00 All right, congratulations for making it through module number three, importing and exporting on ResaleOS. This is the last video for now. I might add more later on, but for now, this is the last video. I'm going to cover something we already touched on one of our first videos about importing your data to ResaleOS.

Understanding Software Compatibility

0:25 Some of you sellers and dealers and merchants are currently using another software for your inventory management, for your consignment management. Softwares like SimpleConsign, ConsignCloud, Liberty, or other crosslisting softwares like Vendoo, Nifty, these other service providers. What I want to cover in this video is just quickly tell you how you can get all your data over to ResaleOS.

Unlimited Data Import on ResaleOS

0:54 First off, there are no limits on how many items you can have, how many records you can have, create, and import on ResaleOS. There are no limits. You can have as many as you want, whichever plan you're on. You're not charged per record that you enter in the system. That's a common question I get. Then, how do you get your data in? How do you effectively get your data in? It's a big thing sometimes. If you're a store that has been using the same software for 20 years, it's a big ask

1:26 to totally switch software that you use daily for your in-store sales, for POS, for inventory management, for paying out your consigners. It's a big transition.

Scheduling a Migration Demo

1:38 My recommendation is always to schedule a call with us. Schedule a demo. You can come over here, schedule a demo with our team, and we will go over your setup. We will tell you we can do the migration for you. You give us access to your system, and then we will download all your data and import it over on ResaleOS. That's always an option. Or we just schedule a demo, and we talk it through. We answer your questions. Alternatively, you can do it yourself.

Self-Serve Migration Options

2:05 We have a self-serve option. You can go to dashboard slash migration. Here we have some common softwares that users, merchants, dealers migrate from. You can follow the steps. Here we detail all the steps and what you have to do. We have a few automations that help you download all your data from these systems. That's something I'd like to share. I think that's something really important. We want more dealers to come over to ResaleOS, obviously, and we don't want the migration

2:41 automation to be something that you think with, you know, that you're scared about. And so, again, there are different options. We prepared migration tools, and also our team is available to do the migration for you. I wanted you to know that.

CSV Import for Data Transfer

2:57 Alternatively, if you keep your data somewhere else, there is always the CSV import, which we covered in an earlier video. You can import your products, your sales, your accounts, your consignors, everything via CSV. In the migration, whether you do it or we do it, we bring everything over. So all your historical data, if you have 30 years of data, we bring everything over to ResaleOS. We leave nothing behind. So all your payouts, all your consignors, all your sales, all your products, everything

3:28 is brought over. Okay. That's really everything I wanted to cover in this video. We have a lot more to show you, and a lot more is changing, and we keep releasing new features and updating. So we'll try, again, to keep these modules updated. But for now, that's it for module number three, and we're going to move on to module number four. All right.
