Types of Resale Businesses

0:09 The first one I wanted to talk about is the types of businesses that benefit from using ResaleOS. This is a common question we get, and so I wanted to go over that real quick. ResaleOS is built for many different types of resale businesses and resellers.

Consignment Stores Overview

0:25 The main one is consignment stores, so businesses selling offline only, in person, inside a store, or maybe online and offline, and doing this on a consignment basis. So they have consignors that they need to pay out whenever they sell something, since they took in merchandise from these individuals or businesses. So consignment stores, one use case, use the POS for in-person sales, might use the online e-commerce and online cross-listing, that kind of stuff.

Thrift Stores and Vendor Malls

0:53 Re-stores, very similarly to consignment stores, might sell both offline and online, but maybe don't do this on a consignment basis. Vendor malls, so businesses that rent space to vendors and sell products on their behalf. These businesses sometimes don't really use the inventory management functionality. They don't actually record every product that they carry inside their mall, but rather they just create custom products at checkout for the customer at the point of sale.

Online Resellers Explained

1:29 So consignment stores, thrift stores, vendor malls, and then online resellers is another use case. So these might be either businesses, large-scale businesses that only sell online. Maybe they operate out of a warehouse or a storage room, or maybe out of your own garage. So that's another use case. Those can vary in size, so we might have side hustlers, so people that have another job and do this part-time or as a side hustle, or full-fledged online resale businesses.

Dropshippers and Other Users

2:02 We have seen ResaleOS being used a lot by other types of businesses, so dropshippers and users that sell new products and manage their inventory on ResaleOS, but whenever they sell something, that's actually when they place the order for the item. They don't carry stock with them. These are some of the most common use cases, but if you fall outside of those and you still see a benefit with using ResaleOS by watching the videos that are coming up, then do not
