A wonderful example of an Art Deco-era boudoir doll, dating to the 1920s–1930s. She features a hand-painted cloth face with soft side-glancing eyes, defined lashes, and rosy red lips, topped with her original black mohair-style wig styled in a low chignon with side curls. Her long, slender cloth body is dressed in a satin slip-style gown with ecru lace trim at the bodice and hem, paired with dark stockings and period Mary Jane shoes. These elegant “bed dolls” were popular decorative accessories during the Jazz Age, often displayed on a chaise or boudoir chair rather than used as children’s toys. Shows lovely age-appropriate patina to the fabric and silk. A striking decorative piece for any vintage or Art Deco collection. Approximately 28” in length.
