Charming pre-war Noritake hand-painted porcelain jam jar in a distinctive basket form. Features a richly decorated black band with colorful fruit motif — apples, pears, purple and yellow grapes — on an ivory ground. Arched gold-trimmed handle and fitted lid with a double cherry finial add elegance. Backstamped with the Noritake “M in Wreath / Hand Painted / Made in Japan” mark, dating this piece to approximately 1918–1941. A lovely example of Japanese export porcelain from the golden age of Noritake. No chips or cracks noted.
