The decoration shows a classic chinoiserie garden scene with a figure beneath a flowering tree on the lower body, and a floral vine garland encircling the neck. Rendered in a warm cranberry-red transfer print on a creamy ironstone ground.

Backstamped on the base: “Mason’s Patent Ironstone, Guaranteed Detergent-Proof & Acid Resisting Colours, England” — this mark places production in the mid-20th century.

Condition: No chips. Light crazing throughout consistent with age, and some surface staining in the crazing lines (typical of vintage ironstone, adds to the character). Clean, sound, and display-ready.
