Universal Polish Mop Advertising Tin c. 1920s - Regular

$26.00
What a charming survivor from the golden age of American advertising lithography. This vintage round tin was manufactured exclusively by Western Steel & Chemical Co., Inc. of Chicago, USA, and originally contained a Universal Polish Mop treatment for painted floors and linoleum. The lid features a striking orange and black lithographed label with bold Art Deco-era lettering and a handsome twin lion vignette flanking a mop bucket — classic American general store graphics at their finest.
The label retains strong color and excellent detail on both the lid and side band. The tin shows honest age throughout, with some separation at the base seam and interior patina consistent with its century of history. A wonderful display piece for a kitchen, farmhouse, or general store vignette, or a solid addition to any advertising tin collection.
Circa 1920s. Sold as a display/collectible only.
