A charming Victorian-style novelty vase in the form of a lady’s high-button boot, finished in iridescent gold lustre glaze with a rich cobalt blue interior. Applied rosette “buttons” trace the boot’s lacing line for added dimensional detail. Unmarked, as is typical of this form — likely Continental or American make, early-mid 20th century. Stands approximately 8” tall. Some expected wear to the lustre finish consistent with age, and light staining to the interior opening. A wonderful shelf or mantel piece, or use as a small dried-flower vase.
