A large and impressive antique copper stockpot with fitted lid, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Hand-hammered heavy-gauge copper body stands approximately 10–11 inches tall with generous capacity. Brass side handles and brass loop lid handle. Interior has been re-lined in aluminum, a common mid-century update to working copper, and is in clean condition. Lid has a small dent consistent with age and use — adds to the authentic character of this piece. Rich patina on the exterior with beautiful hammered texture throughout.
