This rare and distinctive cruet is a blend of Mid-Century Scandinavian glass artistry and royal history. The vessel features a vibrant teal (aqua) hue with a dramatic crackle glass (iced glass) texture.
Key Features:
Artisanal Quality: Hand-blown glass with visible pontil mark on the base, attributed to esteemed makers like Lindshammar Glasbruk based on the form and texture (common signature for this era was only a paper label).
Notable Medal Stopper: The metal-capped cork is topped with a commemorative medal of King Gustaf VI Adolf of Sweden (reigned 1950–1973), with a beautiful aged patina.
The Glass Design:
The petite, "gourd" shaped vessel is characteristic of design work by Gunnar Ander, featuring a small integrated spout perfect for spirits, essential oils, or simply as a standalone collection piece.
Condition Report
Excellent Vintage Condition: No chips or cracks to the hand-blown glass.
Authentic Wear: The cork is firm, and the metal medal stopper shows an intentional natural patina, left unpolished to preserve its history and value.
