This is a vintage pottery bowl. Made with a white clay as can be seen at the foot and base. This does have a mark empressed into the rim but I can't make it out. This came from a lot of Japanese pottery, so I'm assuming it is a piece of somewhat newer Japanese pottery. Black glaze that runs over base. Interior has speckled glaze with a slight gray-green cast. Measures about 5 1/2" across the top and 3" deep. Excellent condition.
