This is a vintage piece of chalkware. It features a Pekingnese and an ashtray. There is no glass insert for the ashtray, though you could place one there. This measures about 4 3/4" high at the highest and 5" wide at the widest. In good condition but is a little chippy here and there, as chalkware often is. Dates to the late 30's early 40's.
