The mask of Tutankhamun is one of the most iconic symbols of ancient Egypt, discovered in 1925 by Howard Carter in the tomb of the young pharaoh. Made of gold and inlaid with semi-precious stones and glass, it represents the pharaoh in idealized form, adorned with the nemes headdress, uraeus cobra, and false beard, symbols of royalty and divinity. The mask was placed directly over the mummy's head, intended to protect the pharaoh in the afterlife and ensure his rebirth.

This framed relief is a modern reproduction or artistic interpretation, likely created as a souvenir or decorative item. Techniques like Dufex printing, which creates a metallic foil effect on paper, are common in mass-produced decorative items. While not an ancient artifact, such pieces evoke interest in ancient Egyptian history and art, making them popular collectibles.
