This 78 RPM shellac disc features Bob Atcher in two heartfelt Country & Western performances from the early 1940s. Side A, “You Are My Sunshine,” is a warm duet with Bonnie Blue Eyes, while Side B, “Crying Myself To Sleep,” captures Atcher’s classic hillbilly balladeer tone with simple accompaniment and emotional delivery.
Released on Conqueror Records, catalog #9381, with etched matrix numbers WC 2862A / WC 2863A, this disc was part of the Columbia/ARC pressing line for Sears Roebuck during the war-era. These sides reflect the crossover between early hillbilly music and emerging mainstream country sounds.
The record is in VG+ condition, with full gloss, clean grooves, and minimal surface noise. It is a beautiful surviving example of Conqueror shellac — highly collectible for genre specialists, prewar enthusiasts, and Americana historians.
