$59.50
This is a vintage porcelain chamberstick candle holder featuring a floral pattern with hand-painted roses and gold trim on a scalloped edge. These decorative pieces typically date from the late 19th to early 20th century, often used for carrying candles between rooms. This candlestick holder dates back to 1890-1900, to whereas the logo changed and wasn't hand stamped. Also at the beginning of WWI, it was required of these imports to be stamped with "made in Germany" which it doesn't have. It is in EXCELLENT condition. Paint is good, gold guilding is good, no chips, no cracks. This was handmade well over 100 years ago as confirmed by the design of porcelain in the finger handle.
This item features the red mark for R.S. Prussia, a German porcelain maker founded by Reinhold Schlegelmilch. The brand was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, known for ornate, hand-painted designs often featuring floral themes and gold gilding.
