This white and gold neoclassical piece would be an excellent adornment for a Hollywood Regency space, or a more traditional one.Wide platform top, fluted standard culminating in tri-sided base with paw footing. Painted white with gilt decoration throughout, foliate designs and torch image to the base. Probably early 20th century or late 19th century.Provenance: collection of Dr. Albert de la Chapelle and his wife Dr. Clara D. Bloomfield, award winning Ohio State University professors and researchers in medical science.
