Very rare to find a signed Baker Furniture piece a century old. This magnificent dark finished walnut Spanish Revival buffet server was made by Baker during the 1920s when the company was still based in Allegan, Michigan. 72” x 22.5” x 37” h Siebe Baker, an immigrant from the Netherlands, founded an interior woodwork and door company in 1890 in Allegan, MI, just west of Grand Rapids. At the end of the 1920s, the company moved to Grand Rapids. Under the stewardship of his Siebe's son Hollis Baker and their descendants, the company gained world renown for excellence in design and craftsmanship. See
