Made in North Carolina by Bernhardt.I obtain Otomi embroideries from the only authentic source, the women of the mountain rain forest town of Tenango de Doria in the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Each hand embroidered piece is a unique work of art.Like most Mexicans, I am descended from both indigenous people of our beautiful country -- in my case probably Aztecs or Tlaxcalans -- and Spanish colonists. I envision some of the most beautiful expressions of Mexican aesthetics as combinations of the amazing beauty of traditional Native American and Spanish craftsmanship. See
