We've given this handsome early 20th Century Spanish Revival arm chair a fresh look with green Italian leather and a handwoven sarape from the indigenous weavers of Oaxaca. We took off the old dark varnish and brought back the walnut grain in a lighter satin finish with some dark highlights.Like most Mexicans, I am descended from both indigenous people of our beautiful country -- in my case probably Aztecs or Tlaxcalans -- and Spanish colonists. I envision some of the most beautiful expressions of Mexican aesthetics as combinations of the amazing beauty of traditional Native American and Spanish craftsmanship. See
