The sculpture depicts a reclining abstracted figure finished in a mottled green patina. Mounted on a cement base, the elongated form blends figuration with abstraction, its smooth curves suggesting both stillness and quiet tension. The work captures Kozlow’s interest in distilling the human figure into essential, expressive shapes.

Richard Kozlow (1926–2008) was a celebrated American painter and sculptor whose career spanned more than five decades. His work was exhibited in over 100 solo and group shows, including major exhibitions at the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Smithsonian Institution. Kozlow received numerous awards, such as the Prix de Rome in painting, and his pieces are held in prestigious public and private collections nationwide. Renowned for both his abstract and figurative works, Kozlow left a lasting mark on the Midwest art scene and beyond.

We ship world-wide and quote through USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, GPX, and with multiple domestic and international freight shipping companies to get you the best price on delivery, and we offer free pick-up for anyone who wants to handle their own delivery.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.

While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
