An exceptionally rare and beautifully bound 1905 trade catalogue from Yamanaka & Co., the esteemed Japanese art dealership based in Osaka with international branches in New York, Boston, and London. This early 20th-century volume features finely printed listings of decorative arts and furnishings, housed in an ornate brocade cloth binding with traditional tassel ties and Japanese calligraphy on the cover. A remarkable artifact of cross-cultural art commerce, this catalogue provides historical insight into Meiji-era export aesthetics and Yamanaka's influential role in introducing Japanese art to Western collectors and institutions. This catalogue is in the permanent collection at Victoria Albert Museum and Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. From a private collection. Dimensions: 5.5"h x 7.25"w x .5"d.
