Nikon D40 DSLR with Nikon 18-55mm lens being sold AS-IS for parts or repair.

Included:

• Nikon D40 body
• Nikon 18-55mm lens only

What I tested:

• Camera powers on
• Camera takes photos
• LCD screen works
• Camera writes images to memory card
• Camera was tested with another known-good Nikon lens and was able to take photos

Known issues:

• Built-in flash pops up but does NOT fire
• Camera appears not to properly detect flash-up position
• In low light the camera defaults to slow shutter speeds instead of using flash
• Lens zoom ring is jammed/stuck and only rotates slightly
• Front filter ring on lens has visible impact damage/dent

Because the camera/lens appear to have suffered impact damage, there may be additional issues I have not discovered. Selling strictly AS-IS for parts or repair with NO guarantees and NO returns.
