This handcrafted 14 karat gold ring features a visually appealing stack of gold bands and a crossover design, a style that is very much in vogue. But this one has a couple of twists. What appears to be a stack of separate bands is actually four to five 1.3mm (w) bands that are connected. The back of the ring shows five stacked bands; the front shows four stacked bands with the fifth designed as a crossover band that is studded with ten 1.40 mm round brilliant cut diamonds that bring a lovely sparkle to the front of the ring, with the diamonds catching light at a variety of elevations and angles.

The ring design delivers the sought-after look of stacked bands without the downsides of separate bands, and with all the benefits of connected bands. Starting with the connected bands' smooth, seamless unit that always stays perfectly aligned, a look that many find more aesthetically appealing and practical for daily wear, as it's more stable.  Another benefit is the enhanced comfort that comes from preventing irritation caused by separate bands rubbing against each other and pinching the skin. A wider, combined band also makes contact with more of the finger's surface area, significantly reducing or often eliminating spinning altogether. Another benefit is the elimination of wear and tear from friction between the metals of separate bands, which can scratch and wear down the bands over time. Or, if the separate bands are set with stones, the settings often gauge and damage one another as they rub against each other. 

Another twist in the design of this ring is the use of three different gold colors—specifically yellow, white, and rose gold—giving the piece its unique, multi-tone appearance while maintaining cohesiveness by matching the band width for each band …sort of like putting together a picture wall with one uniform matte color or frame color, or a consistent design theme to tie it all together in a pleasing arrangement.
