This handcrafted necklace features nineteen 1" round genuine cherry red natural Baltic amber beads, with a deep red hue and unique amber texture, making it a one-of-a-kind piece. Every bead in this necklace is formed from a single nugget of natural Baltic amber. The craftsman process involves cutting amber to the correct size, forming beads, and then polishing them. Like snowflakes, each bead is unique. The necklace measures 22" in length and is secured with a smaller glass bead and loop closure.

Red amber is the rarest color of amber, often referred to as "cherry amber". It forms when ancient tree resin is buried, fossilized, and exposed to specific conditions that cause it to turn red. This process deepens the color from orange to red, making natural red amber a unique and valuable gem. This distinctive red color can vary from a light red or cherry hue to a deep, almost blackish red. It is found in only a few locations in the world, including the Baltic Sea region, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
