This 14 karat white gold ring is set with one natural, precious white opal that weighs 10.04 carats and a halo of eighteen diamonds that collectively weigh 1.00 carats. The white opal is translucent and cut in an oval shape that measures 23 x 14 x 5mm(d). The opal is quite bright, with colors of red-orange-yellow-green-blue-violet. The phenomenon that precious opals display such as this one, is called "play of color", and the color play is unique in each opal. This gemstone displays all the colors in the rainbow, mostly in patches of color that resemble a mosaic called harlequin play of color with a few red-orange and blue-green flame displays (sweeping streaks).

The halo of diamonds consist of round brilliant cut diamonds that measure 2.45 - 2.50mm in diameter and weigh just over 1 carat of diamonds at 1.003ctw. The diamond color is graded as G-H and the clarity as SI1-SI2.
