This vintage 1.375" diameter dark green jadeite jade pendant shape is based on a traditional Chinese jade bi-disc and is suspended from a 14 karat yellow gold bail. The three evenly spaced notches represent a distinct modification, likely a triple ruyi bi-disc, a ceremonial object whose shape symbolizes good fortune, wishes fulfilled, and prosperity.

On one side are 14 karat yellow gold Chinese characters. The inscription is a classical Chinese poetic expression that translates to:  feminine beauty, elegance and subtle charm.
