This phenomenal vintage ring, handcrafted in platinum, is set with a natural blue star sapphire that is sure to delight with its mesmerizing living star. The star sapphire is sizeable, weighing 22.92 carats, and measuring 14.62-14.33 x 10.21mm(d). The gemstone is violetish-blue, semi-translucent, and displays a mostly well-centered, full-figured, six-ray star with legs that extend to the girdle.

The ring has a bright, polished finish and a band that flares to 7.5mm at the shoulders and 14.45mm across the top. The band bridges with raised shoulders and supports five round brilliant-cut diamonds on each side. There are ten round brilliant-cut diamonds in all, collectively weighing 1.00 carat. The diamonds average 3mm in diameter and 1.8mm in depth, and are H-I in color and VVS2-VS1 in clarity. By flanking the sapphire on either side with .5 carats of diamonds, it's as if the artisan were setting the stage with more sparkle and fire for the star attraction.

An appraisal was completed by an independent gemological laboratory on November 29, 2021, for $9900, when platinum was at $950. Platinum is currently at $1566.20.
