This is a substantial and heavy vintage pressed glass covered candy jar (or compote) featuring the classic Whirling Star and Pinwheel pattern. Standing a full 10 inches tall, this piece makes a stunning centerpiece or holiday serving dish. The glass is exceptionally clear and catches the light beautifully through the deep-cut patterns and the hexagonal faceted finial.

Design: Intricate swirling pinwheels, starbursts, and cross-hatched diamond points.

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition with one exception: There is a visible chip on the scalloped rim of the base (please see the close-up photo for detail). The lid still sits perfectly level and secure. There are no cracks, clouding, or other chips on the lid or the body of the jar.
