This "Eames era", mid 20th century, round, architectural table lamp is available for purchase. It is sold with a textured, single-seamed, off-white Belgian linen empire shade which is lined in ivory hardback. Overall, the design of the neutral tone on tone fixture is streamlined yet curvy and has a classicist greco quality conjured by its amphora shape that is reminiscent of a squatty round olive oil urn. Sitting in a permanent position near the top of the lamp base are two opposing faux hammered brass toned handles that are lightly painted in an Vintage patina gold effect. The outside of this charming lamp has a rough texture similar to the popular stucco that was widely used to finish modern newly built homes in the 50s and 60s. This style of exterior construction finish was often chosen in combination with wood accents, molding and trim. Similarly, this bulbous plaster table lamp has the same style of texture finishing and rests on a smooth faux wooden square plinth style platform that is only separated by a circular, choker-like,brass toned metal disc. The neutral off white tones are even repeated with the harp and the finial each of which is painted to match. The lampshade has a 20" diameter and the lamp itself has a 14" diameter at its widest point. It stands 26" from the base to top of the shade which is flush with the small cylinder capped finial.
