Mid 20th Century Italian tole ivy leaf centerpiece. Weighty metal worked into a nice arrangement and then finely gilded with gold leaf and paint to have a gold variegated leaf coloration. This metal sculpted and crafted life-size and life-like centerpiece shows commensurate patina and obvious signs of age and use throughout. These minimal flaws include chips, scrapes, craquelure, rust and surface wear. Leaves are variegated shades of gold with touches of brown accents. Stems and central support are matching in gold tone. The leaves are slightly bendable as desired but largely are in a permanent position affixed to a 4.5" round base. A metal tag is located near the ankle of the faux plant that reads "Made in Italy.
