No makers mark discoverable but similar in style to tables made by W. and J. Sloan Furniture, This much like their own leather top drum tables.. This table top and its sides are finished with a veneer of burled wood. The sophisticated side table features Chippendale style fluted Spider Legs that meet and cross under a chess-piece-like crown wood finial ornamentation. The legs gracefully stand on narrow toes like the wispy feet of a ballerina "en pointe".This piece has been attributed to the influence and style of W. and J. Sloan based on archival documentation, such as vintage catalogs, designer records, or other literature sources as found online.
