Rare hand painted Capodimonte porcelain effigy of an old world Italian Royal Court Jester "Arlecchino" wearing a harlequin costume and black carnival mask. The figurine's suit is hand-painted in yellow, red, cream and blue. Stamped on the underside is the makers marked signature that starts with the display of 89 a cursive N with a 5 point crown at its' crest, (below that in stylized font lettering) LA n. MEDEA (further in a stylized cursive logo) Made by Rori (beneath that is an all cap block letter style font shown in a rounded underscore shape) PORCELLANE CAPODIMONTE (beneath of that in all capped font that displays as a horizontal straight line (MADE IN ITALY) There is a cursive mark that appears to be a hand drawn capital “D” that is separate from the detailed signature which is stamped. The meaning of that mark is unknown. There is also a gold colored imprinted signature that is shown on top of the base in front of the right foot of the model that replicates the stylized signature portion that reads "Rori"
