A pair of vintage Chinoiserie style hardwood side tables feature inlaid leather center blotters embossed in a gold link pattern within its margin. Our guess is that the wood is Yew stained in a rich mahogany. These classic Asian inspired side tables or coffee tables (if put side by side) are made with great solid engineering which includes sturdy straight legs and a thick skirt supporting the table to perfection, These twins are made by FERGUSON BROS. MFG, CO.; Hoboken N. J.; TRADE MARK; No. 2428 LOT NO. 189 as is indicated by the stylized gold stamped mark reads on the underside of each table. Although these two items may look like they may hold the Ancient Chinese secret, they are made in the USA circa 1940 and remain completely relevant even in these modern days.
