This vintage wooden wine presentation case was manufactured in Italy for Villa Banfi (now Castello Banfi) during the late 20th century. Designed to hold six bottles in a flat layout, the box represents the classic aesthetic of Italian vineyard exports during the 1970s and 1980s. The lid is prominently printed with the Villa Banfi "Vinum Naturale" logo, featuring a stylized Bacchus-inspired head and grape cluster motif in a rich terracotta-brown ink.
The case is constructed with sturdy finger-jointed corners and features a natural, unfinished wood grain. It comes equipped with its original braided rope carrying handle and two brass-toned metal latches for secure closure. The interior is spacious and versatile, originally intended for premium Brunello or Rosso di Montalcino bottles. The condition is very good vintage, showing light shelf wear and natural wood aging that enhances its rustic industrial character.
This wine crate is a functional piece of viticultural history, ideal for home bar storage, rustic kitchen organization, or as a decorative anchor for a farmhouse-style vignette. Its association with one of Italy’s most influential wineries makes it a charming acquisition for wine enthusiasts and collectors of vintage commercial packaging.
