THE ENORMOUS ROOM, E.E. CUMMINGS, 1922 1ST EDITION, 1ST PRINTING This is a first edition, first printing, and first state hardcover copy of "The Enormous Room" by E.E. Cummings. The book was published in 1922 by Boni and Liveright in New York. Cummings writes of his time in a French prison during World War I, imprisoned in an "enormous room" with 30 other people. This lovely copy features a mustard yellow cloth cover with light staining, has no marks identified on any of the clean, light tan pages, and has tight bindings. Of note, the word "shit" is present on p. 219, validating this being an initial first state copy.
