This is a pendant made from a slice of (most likely) antler with a scrimshaw unicorn engraving. scrimshaw art is a form of etching or engraving on a natural material such as bone, Ivor×, antler, etc. It's been a practice since the 19th century whaling traditions. It appears to be signed with a T. Most likely Native American but I cannot be certain. It's really cool. It did not come with a chain or necklace so I added this gold tone chain but you can replace it with any style of necklace you would like to place it on. the chain that I placed it on is about 20" gold tone with lobster claw clasp.
