This is a full, original issue of Sports Illustrated magazine from the height of the 1979 college football season. The cover famously asks "Who's Really No.1?" and features star players Jarvis Redwine (Nebraska), Steadman Shealy (Alabama), Art Schlichter (Ohio State), Jimmy Jordan (Florida State), and Delrick Brown (Houston) all pointing upward. This magazine is a fantastic piece of sports history, capturing a pivotal moment in a legendary season. It is complete with all its internal pages and advertisements, offering a genuine look back at the era.
The magazine shows some wear. There is a mailing label affixed on the left side obscuring part of the image, some minor creasing and chipping around the edges, and some small dark marks on the cover. There is also some minor fading of the colors.
