Where luxury sport meets Brutalist fine art.
This “Goblet Style” golf sculpture is one of the most iconic and sought-after commercial designs by renowned artist David Marshall. Standing at 8.27 inches (21 cm), this piece distills Marshall’s signature “Marriage of Metals” into a sophisticated form that serves as both a trophy and a standalone work of art. Ideal for a gallery display for an executive suite, home office / library, living room or entry way.
Artistry & Design
• The Contrast: A flared, polished brass goblet rises from a heavy, sloped square base of sand-cast aluminum. The design plays with texture—the smooth, golden curves of the brass juxtaposed against the rugged, cratered "casting pits" of the industrial aluminum base.
• The Detail: Features a silver-toned, dimpled golf ball motif and a unique "split rim" architectural flair at the top of the cup.
• The Signature: Authentic and signed, featuring the stylized "dm" monogram cast directly into the aluminum base, signifying its origin from Marshall's studio in Spain.
A Collector’s Piece
Ideal for an executive office, home library, or luxury clubhouse, this sculpture offers a singular gift for the golf enthusiast who values mid-century design as much as the game itself.

David Marshall
David Marshall (b. 1942) is a Scottish-born sculptor and designer who has become one of the most recognizable figures in Spanish Brutalist metalwork. Though he was born in Edinburgh, his artistic identity is inextricably linked to the mountains of southern Spain, where he has lived and worked for over 50 years. Over the decades, Marshall expanded his reach globally, studying traditional carving and welding techniques in Thailand, Java, Bali, and Rajasthan. His work moved from pure sculpture into functional art, including mirrors, furniture, high-end trophies and a notable body of bespoke trophies and awards for private clients and clubs. His pieces remain staples of mid-century modern and contemporary design galleries in New York, London, Madrid, in the Rocky Mountains of Clark, Colorado, valued for their rugged elegance and the distinct "human hand" evident in every casting.
