Original Stone Lithograph created in 1926 by Henry le Monnier. The lithograph was made to promote Chablis wines in France. It is often said that a talented poster artist can tell so much of a story in a single image. Here, le Monnier shows the viewer that fine Chablis wines are enjoyed around the globe. He conveys his message with rich details and bold graphics. The colors of this poster work so well together. Henry Le Monnier (1893-1978) created a small body of work in the field of advertising posters. Most of his designs were created from the 1920s – late 1930s and are colorful, spirited, and somewhat humorous. Le Monnier has a fine artistic hand and many of his posters are quite valuable in today’s market. It is in good overall condition with visible and minimal visible wear for its usage.
