Signed Landscape Artwork by Robert E. Jensen (1922-1984) As a student of The California College of Arts and Crafts (CCAC) after WWII he gained a mentor, Harold Gretzner (CCAC teacher), who was a member of the West Coast impressionist watercolor movement. Harold taught him everything he knew, and this painting is a tribute to that instruction. Jensen completed his BFA, MFA and California teaching credential at CCAC. He then began teaching art in the Oakland public schools as well as giving private lessons to talented students. Jensen was a member of the Society of Western Artists, eventually becoming a juror in their annual competitions. This piece is signed on the lower right side by him and encased in a light wood frame with golden border and off white matte.
