Pair of Walnut & Travertine Side Tables by Bertha Schaefer for M. Singer & Sons. These tables are made with the use of solid wood construction of walnut with stone surfaces and a two tier style. The designer was a well known maker for the Bauhaus movement and created furnishings for the well heeled for the majority of her career. These two tables are a beautiful example of the lasting endurance of the mid 20th century design movement and will last for decades more. They show visible wear that is consistent with their age but overall in good condition.
