Profile End Table Designed by John Van Koert for Drexel Furniture. The Profile collection was designed and released in mid-1955. The square streamlined top raised on angled square tapering legs and features a distinct recessed shelf. Notably, he was the director of "Design in Scandinavia," a traveling museum (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland) museum exhibited in 27 cities in the United States from 1954-1957. Showcasing pieces that helped spark the US interest in Danish design, whose influence can be seen in this accent table. The side table is in good condition for its vintage age + use. Brand stamp and date April 1956 are on the underside. Made in the USA.
