Original Oil Painting, The Remarkables at Queenstown, by Malcolm Mason. The mountains were named The Remarkables by Alexander Garvie in 1857-58, because they are one of only two mountain ranges in the world which run directly north to south. The painting has impressive muted colors and magnificent brush strokes. The art piece has the artist signature, date and title on the matte between the painting and gold frame. It is in good overall condition for its usage.
