  This platter has a "Blister" it is not "damage" however I wanted to disclose the a circle is an irregular patch where the glaze has pulled away to reveal a bare circle of the cream-colored earthenware beneath it, it is called crawling. [1, 2]
  • The Cause: This occurs if a speck of dust, oil from a decorator's hand, or a pocket of moisture was on the clay body before the glaze was applied. The glaze literally "crawls" and shrinks back into itself during firing, leaving an unglazed circular spot
• Crazing: Crazing not present in all sets but light crazing is present from piece to piece.
• Chips / Fleabites: This set has no Chips/Freabites.
• Paint & Detail: Preserved like new.
• Utensil Marks: None: This was a display/decorative set.
