Authentic antique Dogon wood house post. These traditional panels were often carved with symbols of strength such as the alligator, and were used to support sections of their living quarters in the desert cliff areas of Mali. This piece shows characteristic signs of age and exposure and is carefully mounted on an aged iron display stand. Wonderful sculptural art piece with tribal history.
