Antique original carved property post from Southern Sudan. Early notation found these abstract pole-like figures marking the gravesites of honored male elite warriors and chiefs. Erected in to the ground during ceremonies, these figures are also said to protect against sorcerer spells. Circa early 1900's with beautiful signs of age.
