Up for sale is a stunning piece of Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) history. This clear pressed glass serving bowl is embossed with the patent date "Nov 8th 1870" (or similar) on the base, dating it to the Victorian era—over 150 years old!

Based on the patent date, this piece is likely associated with Daniel C. Ripley (Ripley & Co. of Pittsburgh) or a contemporary maker utilizing the 1870 glass molding patent. It features a beautiful paneled design with a brilliant scalloped rim and a "starburst" rayed base.

Details:
- Era: 1870s (Victorian / EAPG)
- Markings: Embossed "Pat'd Nov 8th 1870" (please confirm exact text in photos)
- Material: Antique Pressed Glass
- Diameter: Approx. 8 inches
- Condition: Excellent antique condition. As with all EAPG from this era, it may show characteristic "straw marks" (shear marks) or cooling lines from the original manufacturing process, which are proofs of age, not damage.
