Bring rare mid-century elegance to your collection with this vintage Shawnee Pottery water mill cottage planter. This highly collectible figural piece features an intricate high-gold treatment, boasting a lavish amount of hand-applied 22k gold flashing on the textured roof, chimney, windows, and surrounding foliage. A rustic, unglazed terracotta-colored water wheel sets off the ivory ceramic design. While basic single-color versions of this mold are common, this premium-tier decorated variant is exceptionally hard to find online and stands out on any display shelf. Stamped on the bottom with the authentic "Shawnee USA 763" mold mark. Manufactured in Zanesville, Ohio, circa 1940s-1950s. Finding this with the gold trim is very rare and I have never seen one that has this much gold on it. It is truly a rare find.
